Stamping is an art activity loved by children. In this activity, the children stamp patterns using various colours according to their imagination.
For young children, stamping activates a new group of muscles in the thumb and fingers. For older children, it continues the strengthening process but also builds endurance so they will have more staying power for fine motor tasks such as writing.
To do this activity you can use a stamping set, or things around the house like potatoes, leaves, sponges or toilet rolls tubes. Prepare a few different colour paints in a small tray, and let the children stamp on a drawing paper for hours of fun.
