Water Play: Save The Letters

Published by TeacherSha on

Children love fishing for things in a pool of water. This is actually very good for their hand-eyes coordination. Let them learn about the letters through water play by getting them to “save” the letters using fish net. All you need to do is put the alphabet/letters in a water container. Provide the children with either a ladle or fish net. Ask them to save a specific letter or let them save any letter then say aloud the name of the letter that they saved.

Water play gives the children the opportunity to explore and offer endless opportunity for physical experiments and discoveries, like water displacement and volume. (https://pathways.org/splish-splash-the-benefits-of-water-play-for-children/)

While doing this activity, never leave the children unattended and be careful for slipping especially when soap is involved.
