Salt Tray Writing
Some children may find it hard to use a pencil to write and perceive writing as a chore which can make them bored and discouraged. For some children, reading or writing can be a chore simply because their interest is not piqued enough (https://www.britishcouncil.my/english/courses-children/resources/how-make-reading-and-writing-fun)
To help them learn to write, we can make it easier and fun by teaching them to write on a tray of salt. They will feel more confident to learn how to write this way as it they easily make corrections if they need too. Writing on salt provides a new sensory experience as well.
How to make a Salt Tray:
Prepare a tray or shoe box cover. Cover the tray or shoe box cover with salt. Use fingers, draw lines, create patterns, sketch pictures or doodle. Ask children to practice to write the alphabets.
