Vertical Art

Published by TeacherSha on

Children usually draw arts on the table or on the floor. Drawing on vertical surface (for example on the wall) give children different perspective and vantage view towards their drawing.

According to Arizona Orthopaedic Physical Therapy website, vertical surfaces improve children’s ability to naturally cross the midline of his/her body because the dominant hand has to reach all of the spaces of the surface. (https://azopt.net/vertical-surface)

For the art show activity, simply tape drawing paper on the wall, making sure that the top of the paper is still within the children’s reach. Let the children draw.
