Catch the Bubbles

Children love blowing and catching bubbles!  You can buy the bubbles from the store or make your own.  Let the children try to blow the bubbles themselves. According to the Child Development Centre Hong Kong on their website, “Blowing longer streams of bubbles is good for the abdominal muscles and helps breath control for speech!” (https://www.cdchk.org/parent-tips/the-magic-of-bubbles/).  After blowing them, let them try to run and catch the bubbles! 

Make Your Own Bubbles:

1 cup liquid dish soap

Clean container with lid

1 table spoon glycerin or 1/4 cup light corn syrup

Bubble wand or straw

Pour water into container, add dish soap, stir slowly until mixed. Try not to let foam or bubbles form while you stir.

Add glycerin or corn syrup, stir the solution until it is mixed.

Let the bubble solution sit overnight.
