Balancing Ball Race

Published by admin on

Balance and coordination is part of the physical development of children. As it was stated in the website of Kid Sense Australia, balance is the ability to maintain a controlled body position during task performance. To function effectively across environments and tasks, we need the ability to maintain controlled positions during both static (still) and dynamic (moving) activities. Let’s Play:

You will need:

  • Small balls (ping pong ball, pool ball)
  • Large spoons or ladles

How to play:

  • Mark out the start and finish lines.
  • Place container or basket after the finish lines.
  • Balance the ball on the spoon or ladle and walk as fast as possible to the finish line.
  • Be careful to not let the ball fall off (do not use hands to guard the ball!). If the ball drops, start again.
  • Place container or basket after the finish lines.
